People Who Immigrated to Ghana List Reasons Why They’re Leaving One Man is Leaving After 14-years
The reasons are various and they’re never going to fix these issues ever

Many of the people in the expat Ghana group are just that, they’re expats, they never planned to stay for very long. However some people are home owners and immigrants. A lot of them are Ghanians that have returned to live in Ghana.
Since they couldn’t find any other group, over 10 thousand people joined this Ghana expat group. A group where I’ve posted about the racism, colorism and xenophobia I’ve experience on a daily basis. Here you can read that and what some people shared with me, some white people were afraid to post in the group so they sent me private messages.
I didn’t get many of these messages until weeks and months later as we aren’t Facebook friends, they’re sent as message requests.
Corruption, scamming and the economic outlook in Ghana are the largest reasons. People who are foreigners who live in Ghana can’t afford to be scammed on a daily basis when living in a country for years. Ghana will always consider people foreigners no matter what they feel or think. They are very quick to let you know you’re not one of them.
Anyone want to buy a million dollar property for half the price? That’s how some feel about this government and economy.
Exactly! I couldn’t handle it and I came back home. I really wanted to stay longer in Ghana but unfortunately it is not happening.
Most of my friends have left , the blatant corruption , every Government agency knocking on business to extort money plucking figures out of the sky ! Loss of 70% on the value of your cedis and everything increased 3 fold sometimes fourfold , it’s all too much !!
Because Ghána got to be horrible expensive. It was never easy to live here..
