While West Africans were being attacked in Tunisia, they were hosting a Tunisian citizen & treated him with respect & dignity

Burkina Faso hosted the African Cinema Festival FESPACO (Pan-African Film & TV Festival of Ouagadougou) refers to two separate entities which are the Institution and the Festival. This took place in the capital of Burkina Faso from 25 February to 4 March 2023.

At which time a Tunisian (Youssef Chebbi) won an award for his documentary film Yennenga’s Gold Standard.

He was personally given his award by the President of the transition Ibrahim Traoré, while Africans from Mali and Ivory Coast were fleeing Tunisia. There were several attacks on Black Africans in the country including some stabbings.
